Submit a valid PIN to reset the settings for your beacon to factory defaults. Reset the device to the original factory settings. Press the Action Menu button and select Reset. Submit a new and existing PIN to update the PIN for your beacon. Press the Action Menu button and select Update PIN. Validate the accuracy of your beacon settings by quickly verifying the ranging behavior of your device in proximity to your configured beacon. Press the Action Menu button and select Range. IBeacon Auto Tracking Troubleshooting - Android If it still isn't working after 15 minutes, open the TripLog app once, then press the Home button and it will stay in the background. If you've rebooted your phone, it could take up to 15 minutes before TripLog starts detecting the iBeacon reliably. If the USB port is always on, the auto tracking may not work properly. The iBeacon works the best when the USB port is powered on only when the engine is running. Make sure it isn't a problem with your car USB charger by testing with the iBeacon plugged into a computer or wall charger. Next time when you start the car, within a few seconds, there should be a message on the notification bar that says "iBeacon connected. Plug the iBeacon into a car USB charger and turn on the car. ![]() Then open Link iBeacons to Vehicles > select the iBeacon, and select the Vehicle to link to.Ĭlose the app. Then open Set up iBeacons > Plug the TripLog Beacon into a car USB charger and turn on the car > the app will find the device > select the device. Open TripLog app > menu > Settings > Auto Tracking Option > select Detect iBeacon.
